Childhood was spent playing every sport possible (age 5 me thought I was the future savior of the Sacramento Kings). As a scrawny kid who wanted to toughen up, middle school brought my introduction to working out - doing P90X DVDs in the garage. High school football brought a more serious introduction to strength training that eventually led to a brief stint of competitive powerlifting and gaining 60 pounds in two years!

During my college years at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, I studied Biology to keep the option open for medical school, but started working at a physical therapy clinic in my second year. I spent 3 years there, learning how to help people move better and get out of pain. During this time, I came to realize that most patient injuries didn’t exist in a vacuum, but were instead tightly correlated with deeper lifestyle issues.

Upon coming to this realization, I started coaching part-time at Athlon Fitness & Performance. I realized within a week that coaching was my true passion, and where I could make the most holistic, longest lasting impact on people.

I’ll never do anything else. I am lucky to absolutely love what I do. I’ve been blessed with great mentorship, a passion for learning more every day, and the trust of hundreds of clients that has led to my witnessing some incredible journeys.

MY PHILOSOPHY

Anyone can create a hard workout. What most people actually need is a system.

My approach combines evidence-based training with practical lifestyle coaching.

Move better. Build strength. Perform at your best.
